Exciting Collaboration to Reduce Stress in the Workplace

1335259081_tynesidemind.jpgCore Training has joined with Mind Tyneside to develop and deliver a series of workshops which enable managers and employees to effectively mange stress in the workplace. Responding to growing concern regarding the impact of stress on wellbeing, absence and productivity, Core and Mind have brought together best practice to deliver practical and informative workshops for employees and managers. A half day workshop for employees will raise awareness of the causes of stress and share simple tools and techniques to reduce its effects. Managers benefit from two half day workshops which share HSE and CIPD best practice on assessing stress hazards and managing stress on a day to day basis.

Supporting Employability Opportunities for People with Disabilities

1336650718_gilliandoddcoretraining.jpgWell done to Gillian Dodd, who on behalf of Core Training has just completed The Employability Development Project. The aim of the development project is to create a deeper understanding of learning disability through the improvement of working practices, policies and procedures within the private sector. Each employer identifies a ‘champion' from their organisation who wishes to develop their awareness of disability in the work place. The project works across the region to develop employability opportunities for disabled people.

Funded by the NHS NE/Strategic Health Authority Innovation Fund and working closely with the Employers' Forum on Disability, the project contacts appropriate employers and discusses opportunities they may have to offer in the form of visits, work experience, placements or employment opportunities for people with a disability. The project hosts a number of events for employers, intermediaries and disabled people to consider topical employability issues. The Employability Project breaks down the barriers that employers envisage exist to employing disabled people. It encourages regional organisations to be socially responsible and proactive by acting as a link between employers, supported employment organisations and disabled people. www.employabilityphf.org.uk

TRANSFORMATIONAL CHANGE

Transformational change is central to our approach for learning and development to deliver real performance improvement within an organisation.

We like to think we make it simple. Although quite radical, we believe that in order for change to be effective and sustainable there has to be a review of current attitudes and new skills and behaviours embedded.

The way we do our thing...

We listen, evaluate, agree your objectives and propose a solution to you based on our expertise. From a learning and development perspective we concentrate on issues of leadership, organisational culture and current behaviours and how they may impact on your required success.

Our team has a range of expertise from business support to wellbeing and are waiting to hear from you.

Have a look at our new Innovation Design Centre opening up within Core Training that provides a bespoke and tailored design service is sure to reduce your costs on long term development strategies.

At Core Training our consultants believe in sustainability of the learning process. In practical terms, what we mean by that is we don\'t want the learning to stop the minute the delegates leave the classroom. We want to see people change as a result of our interventions.

Our training programmes look to get to the core of the organisations we work with and to the core of the people taking part.

Core training programmes are fun, practical, engaging and most importantly, tailored to the individuals and organisations taking part.

Only when we understand ourselves and our environments can we impact on long lasting behavioural change.
