At Core we pride ourselves on being learning and development (L&D) professionals. That is we don't just deliver our services based on our experience of being learning and HR professionals, we are also qualified at what we do. We are members of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the professional body for those responsible for the management and development of people within organisations in the UK. Our own continuing professional development (CPD) ensures we continue to seek new learning, experiment with new approaches and keep renewing our abilities as learning and development professionals.
The Core Senior Team provides leadership and direction for the organisation using a unique blend of experience from extensive training, human resource management and coaching careers.
BA (Hons) Business Studies, PGCE (Post 16 Teaching and Training), Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills (QTLS) status, Member of Institute for Learning (IfL)
Alison is a qualified organisation and people development practitioner with extensive experience in identifying, designing, delivering and evaluating organisational and people development needs. She has gained a wide variety of experience in different development methods driven by a passion to constantly ensure that positive changes happen as a result of the development interventions. Alison has worked on designing all types of training intervention from short 2-hour masterclasses and one day workshops through to accredited leadership academies.
Alison has experience of working in all types of business, large and small, local to global, public to private and has worked across the generations. She has a passion for developing business skills at all ages from school through to senior leaders and devotes some of her time as a guest speaker at educational and business conferences.
This extensive people development experience has enabled Alison to build a knowledge of what development interventions have a long lasting impact and also of the adaptable leadership skills organisations are needing to succeed in the future.

Catherine has worked in a variety of strategic marketing roles before discovering HR and Development. Her board level marketing experience brings great commercial insight and a focus on customer needs. In her role as Communications Director of a rapidly expanding training and hospitality business she combined internal and external communications which focused her attention on organisational development, operational HR and the rewards of developing the potential of individuals. Catherine has also been a functional manager, dealing with day to day HR issues to achieve business goals and now supports small businesses, providing them with HR advice and support.
Catherine enjoys working with others, understanding where people are coming from and where they’d like to go.
Her aim is to create a positive environment that gets the best out of people, so the workplace is a positive, motivating, fulfilling and rewarding place to be.
That can be through establishing the foundations of positive people practice, developing HR policy and practices that set the tone and standard for working together, working with organisations of all shapes and sizes to find people practices that work for them.
It can be through designing and facilitating training that builds capacity and confidence in those involved. Often this means a blended approach to delivery, what fits with the day job and ensures that new stuff sticks.
Catherine sees coaching as an opportunity to unlock personal growth and change, focusing attention on what is important and creating new perspectives that challenge current thinking and behaviour.

With over 15 years experience in operational Human Resources spanning the public, private and third sectors, Lisa has worked across organisations of all sizes and cultures. Lisa provides the full range of generalist HR support to staff and managers from recruitment through to induction, performance management, career progression, employee engagement and recognition, pay and reward and trade union negotiation. An experienced mediator, Lisa also has significant change management experience covering reorganisation and redundancy, mergers and acquisitions, TUPE, organisation redesign and cultural change programmes.
Lisa has recently been working with some national clients on large-scale recruitment campaigns, designing and leading assessment centres.
Lisa has worked with clients as their 'HR Manager' for large scale projects lasting 12 months. Equally, she has delivered results on a consultancy basis, spending small amounts of time with the client, at their convenience and as their budget dictates.
With a pragmatic and results driven approach, Lisa works with clients to achieve their goals effectively and in the best possibly way for the business. She believes each business is unique and tailors her approach service accordingly. An HR strategist with a track record of delivering integrated HR solutions in line with business objectives, Lisa will help you to meet your people and organisational goals in a manner that's right for you and your business.
