Core Training has worked with other like minded individuals and organisations to develop a brand of training and development tailored specifically for women called The Butterfly Project. The project has developed a range of programmes following research into the needs of women in today's workforce. The Butterfly Programme is a unique learning opportunity that uses "transformational learning" techniques and is innovative in its design. The Butterfly brand also offers a range of inspirational development days and training sessions to improve on all areas of work and home life that impact on the individual. The leadership and management programme has been designed specifically to take on board organisational and personal barriers to succession. The Butterfly brand of training programmes specifically designed for women won the prestigious Training Award at the Northumberland Business Awards 2008 held at Linden Hall recently. The brand was established to raise the aspirations of women in Northumberland. The programmes were designed after research showed that women in Northumberland lacked the confidence to develop into senior positions in the workplace stemming from previous generations. The project has been successfully delivered in organisations and the community. Director Alison Craggs said "The programme offers a unique opportunity for women to be able to explore their personal and professional potential. All within a secure environment with like minded women." Now a Butterfly network is operating with events and development being held all over the country including Northumberland. The programmes use innovative training methods that impact on long lasting behavioural change rather than the generic skills training found in most organisations.
